The Department of Mathematics was opened in the year 1986 with undergraduate classes in a combination of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects. In 2013 postgraduate classes were started. The Department have separate Library with a collection of reference books and textbooks for the post-graduate students.

The Department aims to make students’ command over the subject so that they may make use of mathematical talent in their career and to serve the society.
